People across Kingston and Surbiton are fed up with the shockingly poor performance of their train services by South Western Railways and Network Rail.
On the 13th April, Ed Davey MP met with representatives from both South Western Railway and Network Rail to express local commuters' anger at the state of their train services, and to press both companies for solutions to improve their performance. You can read Ed's full report of this meeting here.
Following on from this meeting, Ed will:
Set up a new group of MPs who's constituents are affected by South Western Railway's poor performance to hold the companies to account, as improvements to the services they are responsible for are not happening quickly enough.
Push Conservative ministers to allow a new compensation scheme to be introduced, as Delay Repay is clearly failing.
continue to campaign on a station by station basis for improvements to both train services and the stations themselves, in conjunction with his Liberal Democrat colleagues.
